FOOD PREP, SERVER & CLEAN UP
Qualifications:
Have a basic understanding of housekeeping, food preparation, nutrition, sanitation, friendliness, and enjoy students.
REPORT TO:
Kitchen manager JOB GOAL:
To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.
PERFORMANCE
Responsibilities:
1.
Report to work on time, accomplishing duties within schedules time frame.
2.
Accepts cheerfully and responsibly directions given by manager 3.
Assist in preparation of foods.
4.
Serve students and faculty, at the serving bar using precise portion control, and ensuring the meal served is a reimbursable meal.
5.
Assumes responsibility for seeing that during meal serving times the supply of foods offered are quickly and regularly replenished.
6.
Assumes responsibility for cleanup in kitchen, equipment and areas used.
7.
Performs major cleaning of cooler and storeroom at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the manager.
8.
Maintains trash and garbage collection in a neat and sanitary manner.
9.
When finished with own duties, help where needed to ensure everyone is getting done on schedule.
10.
Participates in all major year end cleaning, under the manager's directions.
11.
Records daily, only time worked, and totals the hours worked for the end of the month.
12.
Maintains the highest standards of safety and sanitation in the kitchen, as well as personal hygiene.
13.
Attend all meetings, workshops or training requested by the director.
14.
Performs any other such tasks and duties as the principal, superintendent may assign.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position shall be considered in all respect employment at will and the employee is subject to discharge by the District at any time without cause.
The employment period and other descriptions and terms set forth in this job description shall not create a property right, in the employee and such are set forth only to advise the employee of when and what types of service will be required by the District so long as employment continues.
An employee working in this position shall at all times be subject to the direction of the person to whom said employee has primary responsibility or said person's designee(s) and at all times shall be subject to the rules, regulations and policies of the District as promulgated by the Board of Trustees.
Each employee shall be held responsible for having knowledge of said school district rules, regulations and policies which have been reduced to writing and made available to the employee at the building principal's office and the district-wide administration offices.
The salary shall be commensurate with the employee's appropriate place on the approved salary schedule.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated periodically by the child nutrition director in conformance with District policy relating to evaluations of classified employees.
